First post and Kitchen Renovation

This is my first ever post on my newly formed blog. Yes, I realize it still needs work and I still have a lot to figure out! Hopefully I will get there and I accept any and all tips.

I decided what better way to start my blog than to post my recent kitchen renovation. I am sooo proud of this project and when you see the before's you will see why....

Lived in this thing for over a year before I finally got my new one designed and ready to become a reality. As you can see, between the linoleum, cranberry red walls, fluorescent lighting and a terrible layout i was ready for myself a new kitchen.

AFTER

I still need all the lovelies to finish her off, like an antique runner, lots more wine, filler for shelves, etc. I hope you enjoy and it inspires you like all of my fav blogs inspired me when I began this project.

  1. Hi Tabbey,
I'm a newbie, too, and wanted to welcome you to the blog world! Your kitchen reno looks great...my doors are painted that blue, too.
Wishing you lots of luck- there is so much to learn. I'm still learning! MMS inspired me to start painting again.
    You're on your way...be proud.
    Hugs,

  16. I think it is looking fantastic so far! I like the upper cabinets that you have kept, I think the door above the door look has a neat vintage vibe. Maybe you could eventually put a hood above the stove to break it up there? But the floors and the colors and hardware on the cabinets are perfect. The antlers to hang up your dish towels is a great idea--I'm always wishing I had something to hang up a dishtowel near the sink.
